| Learning Organizations |
This page reflects the work undertaken by the learning circle on Learning Organizations.
The vision the group has defined for this concept is:
"A learning organization is founded on flexible and timely structures and on the promotion of creativity; it is involved in a process of constant innovation; and it is has a competitive stance in the world economy, thereby making a contribution to an intelligent society."
Some of our concerns are:
- How do organizations "learn" in El Salvador? How do they acquire new technologies and methods? How do they develop their own technologies and methods?
- How can we institutionalize and make operative the capture, dissemination and assimilation of external information (market information, competitive intelligence, etc.) within an organization? Current reality and optimal projections...
- Which relationships based on information flows do businesses maintain with government offices? With universities? What alternatives are there? Mechanisms? Possible partnerships? See initiatives such as CONACYT, FEPADE and others.
- Which relationships based on information do government offices maintain among themselves? With the public in general? What alternatives are there? Mechanisms? Possible partnerships? See areas such as professional and technical training, reengineering/reconversion, distance education...
- What types of alliances could be forged to improve knowledge transfers among the government, civil society institutions (e.g. universities) and business? Pilot projects?
- What are some examples of structured information flows in large organizations? What effects can these structures have on decision-making?
- How could distance education be utilized within an organization?
- How could labor and management relationships within an organization be modified with the help of internal electronic communications (networks, intranet, chats, electronic bulletin boards, etc.)?
- What is a learning organization? How could we promote the development of this concept among all sectors?
